Dear Brian's parents,
Brian is such a bright, sweet, and engaging boy and an overall wonderful student to teach. He had another strong lesson today.
Brian is beginning to demonstrate independence and proactive learning throughout our lessons (e.g.: searching through is notebook and/or Anchor Chart binder, to recall or reinforce his knowledge, to answer my questions, or to successfully complete an activity). He is making very positive progress in his learning and in his active learning strategies for academic success. Wonderful!
Keep up the great work, Brian!
For today's lesson, we covered Lesson 28 - Task 1 - U4L9 - In Class - Animals and Us.
We focused on the following literacy concepts:
1) Pre-reading strategies: prediction, identification, text-to-self and text-to-world connections
2) Key/New vocabulary - translations, definitions, and synonyms
3) Reading strategies: fluency, decoding, and comprehension
4) Genre: Nonfiction
5) Phonics: Long 'e'
6) Sequence
7) Printing Practice

For HOMEWORK, can Brian please independently complete the following:
1) Lesson 27 - U4W4 - Mar 01 - Homework - Weekly Test
2) I would also highly recommend that Brian practices his printing using the worksheets that I will be providing you.
This extra printing practice does NOT need to be submitted to me for evaluation. I will evaluate his printing through his regular homework assignments.
Thank you.

Have a wonderful week and I look forward to seeing Brian next week.
Very best regards,
Mr. Grande.
