Read "Brook's Opinion"-explain opinion--have Jake tell the reasons Brook gave for her opinion for fluency and understanding  

Explain contractions with not--read the example sentence for fluency then have Jake find another contraction in Brook's writing and tell the two words it comes from for understanding

Have Jake say some other contractions with not for fluency and understanding
