Complete the Phonics exercise for recognition of spelling pattern o--e, u--e, e--e

Read the High Frequency words and choose the correct word to complete the sentence for fluency and understanding

Create a sentence with one or two of the high frequency words, and read it for fluency and understanding

Read the clue words for fluency and choose the correct word for the blank for understamding

Read "Life Long Ago" then fill in the Venn diagram using words from the story for understanding of compare and contrast.

Do the comprehension exercises A and B, circling and writing the correct words on the line for understanding

Structural Analysis--explain syllables and have Jake read the words and write the syllables, circling the syllable with the long vowel sound for fluency and understanding

For part B circle the two-syllable words and write the word that has the long vowel sound  for fluency and understanding

Captions--help Jake say and write a caption for each picture for fluency and understanding

Write About Reading--help Jake read and  complete the sentences for fluency and understanding of compare and contrast

For #5 have Jake say and write a way that life is the same today as long ago for fluency and understanding
