Lessom Plan:

Student will read the play "Yum, Strawberries" with teacher

Ask student "How do you know this is a play?"

Discuss with student how plants change as they grow"

Complete respond to reading section with student: have student retell story in his own words

Read "Strawberry Plant" with student; discuss how strawberries grow with reference to pictures

Ask student to talk about foods he likes that are grown

In "Focus on Science" section have student read the food words and tell which foods are grown and which are not

Complete orally with student "Thinkmark" section
