May 3rd. 

As Nathaniel was late to class, we only completed the first review file--so next week we will do the second review file and review an elephant and piggie book that we read previously. 

I think spending extra time on the review is valuable for Nathaniel, who needs to practice sounding words out from left to right, and a few of his vowel sounds. 

April 12

Nathaniel had some trouble staying focused today. I think he will have an easier time sitting 

at a desk, rather than lying on his bed, because he wasn't always looking at the words, and had trouble writing while lying down. 

Feb. 9

Today we worked on GHI and words that start with them.  We read the story "There's a bird on my head".  Nathaniel was a little distracted today because he was hungry for dinner. 

For homework, he could review the following words and practice matching them to their first sound letters:

horse, hat, house, hotdog

iguana, igloo, ink, insect

gorilla, gift, girl, goat

We also didn't get to the review work, so Nathaniel could complete any review work in there as homework.
