Dear Serena's parents,

It is always very nice to see Serena, especially with all her fun holiday news! Once again, she was focused, engaged, and motivated to succeed in her English language learning throughout today's class. Another great lesson! Well done, Serena!

For today's lesson, we reviewed Serena's homework submission as well as her Anchor Chart binder. Plus we covered some of Lesson 13 - Task 1 - U6L3 - Valley of the Moon.  

We focused on the following literacy concepts:

3) Reading strategies: Foreign language (in-character voice and reader immersion into the story) - Spanish

a) Express your opinion/thought

b) Provide text/self/world connection examples

c) Text evidence
