Chloe had another excellent English language lesson today. When she engages in the lesson, her motivation to succeed is exceptional. Chloe is such a joy to teach.

For today's lesson, we reviewed Chloe's homework as well as her Anchor Chart knowledge. We also covered Lesson 19 - Task 1 - U4L3 - In Class - Our Changing Earth.  

We covered the following literacy concepts and strategies:

1) Pre-reading strategies: prediction, identification, text-to-self and text-to-world connections

2) Key / New vocabulary: translations, definitions, and synonyms

3) Reading strategies: articulation & enunciation, inflection, intonation, pace, fluency, decoding, context clues, text features, and comprehension

4) Genre: Expository Text (Informational)

5) Verb Tenses (Past and Present)

6) Subject-Verb Agreement ('be' verbs)
