For today's lesson, we reviewed James' homework and his Anchor Chart binder. We also covered Lesson 5 - Task 1 - U3L5 - In Class - Let's Help Out.

We focused on the following literacy concepts:

1) Pre-reading strategies: prediction, identification, and text-to-self connections

2) Key/New vocabulary - translations, definitions, and synonyms

3) Reading strategies: fluency, decoding, and comprehension

4) Genre: Narrative Nonfiction

5) Adverbs of Time: yesterday, today, tomorrow, last week, this week, next week

6) Ordinal Numbers

7) Subject-Verb Agreement

8) Commas: Sequence ('My dog, cat, and goldfish are all awesome!')
