1. On the island, Ransom saw a picture of the solar system, and one of the planets was marked as Malacandra. That certain planet was Mars.

2. The Oyarsa there had become silent, unlike the other planets. The other planets never hear anything from Earth, thus becoming Thulcandra. There's even a theory that Earth's Oyarsa has ceased to exist.

3. I would say he was afraid and not afraid at the same time. It wasn't about how Oyarsa was a different creature, it was about how he was being interogated. The fear of tests, which all humans should have, is very relatable to Ransom's situation.

4. His pride overtook him and they corrupted Earth's beings. Because of this, they were bound to Earth and will never be able to be heard again.

5. Weston thought that the elderly hross was the thing that was speaking, and that's why he's extremely dumb. He thought it was science, since the person that stands out is usually the person who is speaking. Weston thought that this also applied to Malacandra, so he thought the hross was speaking, but the hross was actually taking a power nap.

6. Not sure...

7. It was a hat made of animal skin.

8. I'm guessing he wants to take over Malacandra, like how the British took over Quebec City.

9. Oyarsa said that they would take the weapons out of the ship except for the one that Ransom is going to get. It also said that the "eldila of deep heaven" would make sure that he did not get killed by the other two.

10. I don't have a favourite part in the book.

8. I don't exactly understand Weston's plan, so I don't think I can summarize it.

1. The hross barely had any cooking; they only boiled. For this reason, they only had a few untensils. For meat, they only ate fish, but there were plenty of vegatables to eat. They lived in beehive-shaped huts made of leaves that would usually be near the warm water.

2. Hnohra is Ransom's teacher; he teaches him the language of the hrossa. He's also an older hross.

3. They thought that if Ransom went to Oyarsa, they (I don't know if Oyarsa is a he or a she, so I classify them as non-binary) would protect him from Weston and Devine.

4. Just about everything. I can't exactly explain it, though.

5. Hyoi doesn't give a giant reaction, just a slight confusion. War doesn't exist on Malacandra, Oyarsa keeps everything at peace, and the planet provides everything that the species on Malacandra need.

6. From my understanding, almost completely see-through. Light goes through them because they move faster than the speed of light, andthe speed of light is just on the edge of what we can see. Anything faster moves too quick for our eyes to see properly.

7. The hrossa were preparing for the killing of a hnakra.

8. He said that Ransom needs to go to Oyarsa at that very moment.

9. He was killed by the gun of either Devine or Weston.

10. Ransom was scared of another gunshot from Weston

1. Ransom is a philologist, which means he studies the history of languages. This is why he was fascinated when Hyoi s

2. Devine is more of a relaxed guy, but has an almost excellent poker face. Weston, however, is very quiet, but when he speaks, he seems to be very rude and only caring about himself.

3. He enjoys te quietness of being alone and the walking.

4. In space, in a spaceship, in a cabin, on a bed.

5. Shocked, almost fell unconcious.

6. There aren't many, except limited air, limited talking, limited supplies, direction (the sense of direction gets hard while the cargo is landing, as it's the centre, so it's 'down').

7. A human sacrifice to the sorns.

8. The gravitational pull of Malacandra.

9. I don't know what he saw, since (from my point of view) he lost conciousness.

10. Malacandra has some things that Mars does not have. For instance, weird creatures and flowing water. The tempurature on Mars (at night) is too cold for flowing water to exist. If there is any flowing water, it's below the surface. Mars also does not have strange creatures, like the sorns. However, the atmosphere and the gravity levels on the two planets sound pretty similiar. Malacandra and Mars both had lower gravity levels than Earth, so most mountains could become taller on those two planets than on Earth.

1. Judging from the Dr, I'd say Ransom is a doctor/scientist.

2. Devine is more of a guy that doesn't exactly take things very seriously. He also doesn't exactly make a lot of sense. Weston is a somewhat quiet but serious guy.

3. He enjoys the actual walking part. I think this means he's a healthy person?
