1. He hears the conversation between the Gaffer and the Black Rider, the rider was searching for Frodo.
2. It's like the Road of Life, how there are always choices to make, and those choices will lead to a path along life.
3. Gildor is the leader of his group of Exiled Elves. He said this, 'Be careful, friends! Speak no secrets! Here is a scholar in the Ancient Tongue.'
4. Frodo is terrified of Mr. Maggot's dogs. Hobbits have a certain liking for mushrooms, and Mr. Maggot's farm is full of 'em. Frodo used to steal mushrooms from Mr. Maggot, and the last time he visited, Mr. Maggot told his dogs that the next time they saw him, they could eat him.
5. I think it's because of Pippin, he knows Mr. Maggot and is on good terms (maybe?) with him. This means that Mr. Maggot is a strict but kind person.
6. Frodo wanted people to think that he had settled down in Crickhollow, and so that they wouldn't follow him to the Mountains of Dooooooooooooooooooooooooooom.
7. Pippin found out by having Sam as the detective.
8. First, he was in a high tower at the window, looking over at what seemed to be a forest full of dangerous creatures that I thought would smell him out for sure. Then, he heard the sound of waves from the ocean and got teleported to an open area with no trees. He saw a white tower and wanted to climb it, but while he was sturggling to get to the entrance, a light from the sky appeared and he heard the noise of thunder.
9. Hobbiton Hobbits can't swim, and the Old Forest's trees seem to be predatory. It seems that the Forest itself is alive!
10. In this case, Old Man Willow isn't nature that is good. His bad influence spreads all over the Forest, and it's bsically making nature unchecked. I think Tolkien does not have a different point of view in nature unchecked and nature under control. The Old Forest is unchecked thanks to Old Man Willow, and it will frighten people going in there. It's kind of like my idea of unchecked nature.
