Today in class we will be writing similes and metaphors to describe family members. You can use some of these in your writing assignment if you like.
Hi Everyone,
I am looking forward to reading all of your paragraphs about winter. Remember, when writing a simile we can use either 'like' or 'as.' Don't worry, it is easy as pie. New homework assignments coming in feels like Christmas morning everyday for the teacher. ;-)
See you in class!
Miss Katie.
Note: Thanks Daniel and James, I received your paragraphs.
Do you remember what we discussed in class?
Here is a guide from our lesson. The structure of a traditional haiku is always the same, including the following features:
First, Benny was riding his bike to the dock to go fishing. Suddenly, he saw a boy swimming to shore, and he poked his head into the water to see that a shark was after him. When the shark got close, he closed his and tried to punch him. with perfect luck, he was able to punch him in the gills, leaving him stunned so the boy could go on the dock. Benny quickly reached and grabbed his arms and pulled forward. Just as Benny pulled the boy to safety, the shark saw that the boy dissapeared and went away.
