Dear Chloe's parents,

Chloe is such a hard working student. She was very hungry throughout today's lesson but she remained engaged and focused on her learning. She is a very tough, hard working young lady. Hopefully she eats something very soon, lol!

For today's lesson, we reviewed Chloe's homework as well as her Anchor Chart binder. We also covered Lesson 10 - Task 1 - U3L7 - In Class - Weather Affects Us.  

We covered the following literacy concepts and strategies:

1) Pre-reading strategies: prediction, identification, text-to-self and text-to-world connections

2) Key / New vocabulary: translations, definitions, and synonyms

3) Reading strategies: articulation & enunciation, fluency, decoding, text feature, and comprehension

4) Genre: Expository Text

5) Mind Map / Idea Web: 'Kinds of Weather'

6) Text Features: photographs, illustrations, captions, diagrams, labels, subtitles, and special print (bold, highlighted, coloured)

7) Antonyms and Synonyms
