Dear Summer's parents,

Summer made some excellent connections related to today's lesson reading, with his father's job: his garage door business. It was so nice to hear Summer describe his father's job with such passion and detail. He even showed me his father's website and he shared that he enjoyed working with his father on garage doors as well. Very cool! Well done today, Summer!

For today's lesson, we covered Lesson 5 - Task 1 - U3L4 - In Class - Brick by Brick.

1) Pre-reading strategies: prediction, identification, text-to-self and text-to-world connections
