Tiffany had another strong English language lesson today. She worked very hard and her translation skills are improving significantly. Her vocabulary knowledge has grown significantly as well. Keep up the great work, Tiffany!

For today's lesson, we reviewed Tiffany's homework as well as her Anchor Chart binder. We also covered Lesson 1 - Task 1 - U3L1 - In Class - That's the Spirit.

We focused on the following literacy concepts and strategies:

1) Pre-reading strategies: prediction, identification, text-to-self and text-to-world connections

2) Key/New vocabulary - translations, definitions, and synonyms

3) Reading strategies: context clues, fluency, decoding, text features, and comprehension

4) Genre: Fantasy

5) Subject-Verb Agreement
