Apr 8 Students learned about rhythm in poetry by reading a poem aloud and clapping along to the beat of the poem, then answering questions about how the rhythm changes from stanza to stanza and how this changes the mood of the poem.
Students did descripitive writing where they had to think of an exciting moment in their life and draw a picture or write sensory words about their exciting moment and use these supporting details to write a paragraph about their exciting moment.
Students continued descriptive writing by imagining their best Easter egg and writing about what it would look like with as many descriptive details as possible.
Homework was a creative writing exercise where students had to write about their most memorable Easter.
