For today's lesson, we covered Lesson 17 - Task 1 - U2L2 - In Class - The Badger and the Fan.

We covered the following literacy concepts and strategies:

1) Pre-reading strategies: prediction, identification, text-to-self and text-to-world connections

2) Key / New vocabulary: definition and synonym

3) Reading strategies: pace, fluency, decoding, context clues, text features, and comprehension

4) Genre: Folktale

5) Greek and Lating Roots = Affixes [prefix and suffix (un-comfort-able / im-pass-able]

6) Root Words = Base Words = Core Words

7) Theme
