Dear Siyuan and Siyuan's parents,

For today's lesson (Jun.21st), we covered some challenging Grammar concepts that Siyuan worked hard to understand.

We reviewed his two Grammar homework assignments:

1) Lessoncompleted his first Grammar Review lesson (Lesson 3 - Task 2 - U1L2 - Jun 07 - Grammar Review) and some components were challenging for him, especially with the 'application' of knowledge learned. 

We covered the following components:

1) Sentences: statement, question, exclamation, command

2) Sentence fragments

3) Punctuation marks: period, question mark, exclamation mark

By the end of the lesson, he had a much better understanding of these components and how to accurately apply the knowledge learned.

My recommendations for Siyuan is to take his time, think carefully about what the instructions are asking of him, and focus on the Grammar component he is being asked to focus on. 

Once he has done this careful 'thinking' process, then he can 'communicate' and 'apply' the knowledge learned, during class and for his homework, and do so with a higher degree of success.
