My focus for today's lesson was on Chloe's independence with effective learning strategies using context clues and her translator, for vocabulary comprehension. She is becoming much more adept at problem solving comprehension challenges, especially as the lessons progress. Great work today, Chloe!

For today's lesson, we reviewed Chloe's homework submission as well as covered Lesson 22 - Task 1 - U2L5 - In Class - A Prairie Guard Dog.

We focused on the following literacy concepts:

1) Pre-reading strategies: prediction, identification, text-to-self and text-to-world connections

2) Key/New vocabulary - Synonyms and Translator

3) Reading strategies: Articulation & Enunciation, Fluency, Decoding, and Comprehension

4) Genre: Narrative Nonfiction

5) Suffixes
