Dear Chloe's parents,

It was very nice to see Chloe again today. She is such a sweet and intelligent girl and she tries so hard to learn the English language, throughout the class. Her reading is already showing signs of improvement.

I would recommend that Chloe chooses books that she enjoys, whichever books they may be, and reads these English books everyday. This will significantly help her to continue improving her reading fluency, comprehension, and articulation / enunciationa skills, and she will learn to read English, with enjoyment. Thank you. 

For today's lesson, we reviewed Chloe's excellent homework submission as well as her Anchor Chart binder. Plus we covered Lesson 2 - Task 1 - U1L2 - 'The Quest'.  

We focused on the following literacy concepts:

1) Pre-reading strategies: identification and prediction

2) Key/New vocabulary

3) Reading strategies: Articulation & Enunciation, Fluency, and Comprehension

4) Genre: Fantasy
