Chloe had a very good English language lesson today. She was very tired today so it took Chloe a little time to become engaged and motivated in the lesson but once she did, she was her hard working, energetic self. Well done, Chloe!

For today's lesson, we reviewed Chloe's Anchor Chart binder and we also covered Lesson 26 - Task 1 - U2L8 - In Class - Animal Families.

We focused on the following literacy concepts:

1) Pre-reading strategies: prediction, identification, text-to-self and text-to-world connections

2) Key/New vocabulary - synonyms and translations

3) Reading strategies: context clues, fluency, text features, and comprehension

4) Genre: Nonfiction

5) Text Features: Table of Contents, Photographs, and Captions

6) Multiple-Meaning Words: Homonyms
