Dear Marquis and Marquis' parents,

Marquis is developing into a very confident young man and he demonstrates this during our lessons with how well he communicates his thoughts and ideas. He is a true joy to have a conversation with!

For today's lesson, we reviewed Marquis' homework plus covered Lesson 29 - Task 1 - U2L10 - In Class - The Big One.

3) Reading strategies: decoding, context clue, text features, fluency, and comprehension

4) Genre: Realistic Fiction and Poetry

5) Figurative Language: metaphors and similes

6) Conversational Practice: word choice, pronunciation, pace, and confidence

7) Point of View: author and narrator

8) Types of Poems: haiku
