Dear Marquis' parents,

Marquis was very engaged and active thoughout today's lesson. He worked very hard to understand the vocabulary and context of today's reading. He made many connections to his own life experience to help him understand the story's context and he did so with success and with clarity. He is such an intelligent, hard working boy, and such a joy to teach!

Once again, Marquis, really great job today.

**I have asked Marquis to more effectively organize his anchor chart binder. He had a great deal of difficulty finding anchor charts that were relevant to today's lesson. Thank you.

For today's lesson, we reviewed Marquis' excellent weekly test homework as well as his anchor charts. We also covered Lesson 23 - Task 1 - U2L6 - In Class - Saving San Francisco Bay.
