Tiffany had another strong English language lesson today. 

For today's lesson, we reviewed Tiffany's homework as well as her Anchor Chart binder. We also covered Lesson 13 - Task 1 - U2L9 - In Class - Creative Leaps.

We focused on the following literacy concepts:

1) Pre-reading strategies: prediction, identification, text-to-self and text-to-world connections

2) Key/New vocabulary - translations, definitions, and synonyms

3) Reading strategies: rhyme, meter, rhythm, and comprehension

4) Genre: Poetry (Lyric, Rhyme, Haiku)

5) Figurative Language: metaphors and similes

6) Point of View

7) Chinese Poetry
