Dear Tiffany's parents,

Once again, Tiffany did very well during today's English language lesson. As we reviewed Tiffany's homework, we once again practiced her test-taking skills and strategies for Multiple-Choice and Written Responses for tests. She worked hard (as always) and is continuing to improve with her skills and strategies. Well done, Tiffany!

For today's lesson, we reviewed Tiffany's weekly test homework as well as her Anchor Chart binder. We also covered Lesson 1 - Task 1 - U2L1 - In Class - Amazing Animals.

We focused on the following literacy concepts:

1) Pre-reading strategies: prediction, identification, text-to-self and text-to-world connections

2) Key/New vocabulary - translations and synonyms

3) Reading strategies: context clues, decoding, and comprehension

4) Genre: Folktale

5) Test-taking skills and strategies: 

a) Key Vocabulary

b) Context Clues

c) Closing (Concluding) Sentence
