Evan had a very good lesson today. He was engaged throughout the lesson and he worked hard to understanding the challenging literacy concepts we were working on. Great job today, Evan!

For today's lesson, we reviewed Evan's Anchor Chart binder plus we covered Lesson 19 - Task 1 - U2L9 - Ollie's Escape.  

We focused on the following literacy concepts:

1) Genre: Poetry

2) Key/New vocabulary

3) Reading strategies: emphasizing Rhyming words

4) Figurative Language: Alliteration

5) Literary Elements for Poetry: Rhyme and Alliteration

6) Identifying the difference between sounds in words for poems that are Rhyming poems and Alliteration poems
