Although Chloe was tired from being back at school and hungry for her dinner, she still had a very good English language lesson today. Well done, Chloe!

For today's lesson, we reviewed Chloe's homework as well as her anchor charts. We also covered Lesson 5 - Task 1 - U1L4 - In Class - The Row of Lights.

We covered the following literacy concepts and strategies:

1) Pre-reading strategies: prediction, identification, text-to-self and text-to-world connections

2) Key / New vocabulary: translations, definitions, and synonyms

3) Reading strategies: pace, fluency, decoding, context clues, text features, and comprehension

4) Genre: Realistic Fiction

5) Summarize: Sequence Chart (character, setting, beginning, middle, end)
