For today's lesson, we reviewed Brian's homework and his anchor charts. We also covered some of Lesson 19 - Task 1 - U6L3 - In Class - My Helpers.  

We covered the following literacy concepts and strategies:

1) Pre-reading strategies: prediction, identification, text-to-self and text-to-world connections

2) Key / New vocabulary: translations, definitions, and synonyms

3) Reading strategies: pace, fluency, decoding, context clues, text features, and comprehension

4) Genre: Expository Text 

5) Phonics: a, aw, au, augh, al
