Summer had another very good lesson today. He was eager to learn the concepts he had trouble understanding from this week's homework assignment. He was able to achieve understanding by the end of the lesson. Very well done, Summer!

For today's lesson, we reviewed Summer's homework and we also covered Lesson 07 - Task 1 - U5L5 - In Class - Smart Solutions.

1) Pre-reading strategies: prediction, identification, text-to-self and text-to-world connections

2) Key / New vocabulary: definitions and synonyms

3) Genre: Biography

4) Mind Map / Idea Web: Inventions to solve problems
