Serena worked very hard today! We reviewed her excellent test result and we also focused on Cloze Activity (Fill in the Blank) strategies in Lesson 4 - U3L4 - Jun 03 - Your Turn. 

We covered the following literacy concepts:

1) Spelling of Unfamiliar Vocabulary:

- Context Clues / Text Evidence

'If the word is in the text - in front of your eyes - it should always be spelt correctly.'

- Dictionary (Chinese to English)

2) Cloze Activity strategies:

- know the meaning of every key word

- fill in the blanks of easy words first

- type of word (e.g.: noun, adverb, etc.)

- context clues / text evidence

3) Commas (with Quotation Marks)

4) Silent Letters

5) Open/Closed Syllables
