Meeting Michael and having a class together was an honour and pleasure! He is an extremely talented student; the sky is the limit for him!
He did well, despite not previewing the lesson and reading the story before class (which meant we couldn't complete the entire lesson).
Nevertheless, it's a testament to his Michael's ability and reading and comprehension skills that he comprehended the passage well without much guidance. Encouragingly, he understood many of the nuances of the story.
Additionally, we explored similies, new vocabulary and some idiomatic phrases such as - invaluable (extremely valuable), glass half-empty versus glass half-full, and optimism versus pessimism.
