Dear Michael's parents,
Michael and I had a very nice talk today about his homework assignments. He said he understands that if he is too tired, sick, or has too much schoolwork, he does not have to finish all of my assigned homework, if he cannot complete it at the high-level of ability that he is capable of.
This is so he learns English with a high degree of success and that he also finds balance with his health and with all the responsibilites he has, as a hard working, and caring student.
To you, I thank you for all the loving support and care you have for Michael and his excellence as a young boy and as an exceptional student. He truly is a wonderful student to teach. Thanks again.
For today's lesson, we reviewed Michael's homework and his anchor charts. We also covered Lesson 13 - Task 1 - U1L9 - In Class - A Natural Beauty.

1) Pre-reading strategies: prediction, identification, text-to-self and text-to-world connections
2) Key / New vocabulary: translations, definitions, and synonyms
3) Reading strategies: pace, fluency, pronunciation, decoding, context clues, text features, and comprehension
