Dear Marquis' parents,

Wow! Today's lesson was so interesting and I learned a lot about Chinese history from Marquis and his mother (Li Bai, the Monument to the People's Heroes, Lin Hui Yin, etc). Thank you for the excellent Chinese history lesson today!

For today's lesson, we reviewed Marquis' homework plus practiced his conversational English regarding Chinese history. We also covered the Expository Text, 'Mexican Revolution' from Lesson 17 - Task 1 - U2L4 - Nov 14 - Moving from Mexico.

1) Pre-reading strategies: prediction, text-to-self and text-to-world connections

2) Key / New vocabulary

3) Reading strategies: Articulation & Enunciation, Decoding, Fluency, and Comprehension

4) Genre: Historical Fiction and Expository Text

5) Detailed English Conversation
