Chloe is progressing so well in all areas of her English language learning (speaking, listening, reading, and writing/grammar). She should be very proud of herself as am I and I know you are as well. Wonderful!

For today's lesson, we reviewed Chloe's homework as well as her Anchor Chart binder. Plus we covered Lesson 17 - Task 1 - U2L2 - In Class - Where Are They Going.

We focused on the following literacy concepts:

1) Pre-reading strategies: prediction, identification, text-to-self and text-to-world connections

2) Key/New vocabulary - Synonyms and Translations

3) Reading strategies: Articulation & Enunciation, Fluency, Decoding, and Comprehension

4) Genre: Realistic Fiction

5) Text Features: Table of Contents (Title, Author, Illustrator, Chapters, Subtitles, Pages)

6) Summarize Chart (Beginning, Middle, and End)

7) Prefixes: 'un-' = not (unhappy = not happy)
