Dear Michael's parents,

It is always so nice to see Michael. His English speaking and listening has improved so much from his English lesson from last week to today's lesson. Well done, Michael! 

We will continue to work on Michael's reading fluency, pronunciation, and grammar knowledge: to get him back to the high levels of proficiency that he was at in the Spring. He is such an intelligent boy so it should not take him long to achieve these high levels of proficiency, once again. 

For today's lesson, we covered Lesson 30 - U6W5 - Aug 15 - In Class/Homework - Weekly Test.  

We covered the following literacy concepts and strategies:

1) Parts of Speech: noun, pronoun, adjectives, verb, adverb, and articles

2) Nouns in a Sentence: subject and object

3) Key / New vocabulary: translations, definitions, and synonyms

4) Reading strategies: pronunciation (articulation and enunciation), fluency, and comprehension

5) Prepositions and Prepositional Phrases: nouns and verbs

6) Punctuation: exclamation marks

7) 'Hamburger' Paragraph Structure

8) Text Evidence
