Michael had another wonderful English language lesson today. He is such an intelligent boy and his reading comprehension skills are exceptional. Wow, amazing really! Keep up your awesome English language learning, Michael, you're doing great!

For today's lesson, we reviewed Michael's homework as well as his Anchor Chart binder. We also covered Lesson 23 - Task 1 - U6L6 - In Class - Digging for Sue.  

We covered the following literacy concepts and strategies:

1) Pre-reading strategies: prediction, identification, text-to-self and text-to-world connections

2) Key / New vocabulary: translations, definitions, and synonyms

3) Reading strategies: articulation & enunciation, fluency, decoding, context clues, text features, and comprehension

4) Genre: Informational Text 

5) Greek and Latin Roots = Affixes: prefix and suffix (un-comfort-able / im-pass-able)

6) Main Idea and Key Details
