Michael worked very hard today and he had another strong English language lesson. Wonderful! Keep up your great work, Michael. You are doing so well with your English language learning! I am very proud of you.

For today's lesson, we reviewed Michael's homework and his Anchor Chart binder. We also covered some of  Lesson 10 - Task 1 - U5L7 - In Class - Protecting the Earth.

We focused on the following literacy concepts and strategies:

1) Pre-reading strategies: prediction, identification, text-to-self and text-to-world connections

2) Key/New vocabulary - translations, definitions, and synonyms

3) Reading strategies: context clues, fluency, decoding, and comprehension

4) Homework Success strategies

5) Hamburger Paragraph
