Dear Michael's parents,

Michael did very well during today's English language lesson.

I must apologize for not evaluating Michael's homework in time for today's lesson. I have been very busy and I did not think Michael would do homework on his holiday. My apologies once again. I will evaluate Michael's homework today.

For today's lesson, we briefly reviewed Michael's Anchor Chart binder and we covered Lesson 1 - Task 1 - U5L1 - In Class - Let's Make a Difference.

We focused on the following literacy concepts:

1) Pre-reading strategies: prediction, identification, text-to-self and text-to-world connections

2) Key/New vocabulary - translations

3) Reading strategies: articulation & enunciation, fluency, decoding, and comprehension

4) Genre: Realistic Fiction

5) Mind Map / Web - 'Good Citizens'
