Dear Brian's mother,
It was so nice to see you and Brian once again. Thank you very much for your help today. Brian worked very hard and he followed instructions very well, in both Chinese and English. As the lesson progressed, his speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills improved significantly. He is a very smart boy, without question.
For today's lesson (Lesson 1, Task 1 [U2L1] - Jobs Around Town), we covered the following literacy concepts:
1) Pre-reading strategies: p.8-9
2) Vocabulary: p.10-11
3) Phonics - Short 'e' sound: p.12-13
4) Reading strategies: p.14-23
5) Comprehension (Character, Setting, Events): p.24-25

Thank you.
p.s.: For our next lesson (Fri.Mar.4th) I would like to play Blooket with Brian, as a reward for his hard work in class. It was unfortunate that Blooket did not work today for some reason. I asked for help from Mrs. Ling Song and her daughter. They were very helpful and I have a better idea now how Blooket works for students in China. I believe Mrs. Song will be contacting you soon to see if Blooket can be played on your internet system (something to do with an Internet Firewall). Hopefully we can play it together next week as his reward for his very hard work! Thank you once again.
Have a wonderful weekend to the whole family.
Very best regards,
Mr. Grande
