Dear Tiffany's parents,

It was very nice to see Tiffany again today. She had another strong English language lesson. She learned many new words about 'natural disasters' and she worked hard on her reading fluency and decoding strategies. Very well done today, Tiffany!

For today's lesson, we reviewed Tiffany's excellent homework submission as well as her Anchor Chart binder. Plus we covered some of  Lesson 09 - Task 2 - Oct 31 - R&W.  

We focused on the following literacy concepts:

1) Pre-reading strategies: predictions, identifications, text-to-self and text-to-world connections

2) Key/New vocabulary

3) Reading strategies: Articulation & Enunciation, Decoding, Fluency, and Comprehension

4) Genre: Expository/Informational Text
