Dear Serena's parents,
Serena was her usual fully engaged and motivated self throughout today's lesson. She was actively seeking answers to her many questions related to today's lesson. She thought careful and deeply when activating her prior knowledge and she did so with great success. She paid close attention to my correction and/or improvement strategies regarding reading comprehension. Specifically, creating high level sentence frames when writing out her answers, and text evidence (clues) strategies to strengthen her writing. She did great!
For today's lesson, we covered the following concepts:
1) Homework Review - capital letters and sentence starters.
2) Lesson 10, Task 2 - R&W:
a) Pre-reading strategies
b) Key Vocabulary
c) Reading strategies
d) New Words
e) Random Reading Comprehension questions to activate high level responses
