Dear Tiffany's parents,

It was very nice to see Tiffany again after my Christmas break. She did very well during today's English language lesson. We covered a lot of new English language curriculum. She will be receiving Anchor Charts that will reinforce her knowledge which she learned during today's lesson. Great work today, Tiffany!

For today's lesson, we reviewed Tiffany's homework as well as her Anchor Chart binder. We also covered Lesson 19 - Task 1 - In Class - Literature Book.

We focused on the following literacy concepts:

1) Pre-reading strategies: prediction, identification, text-to-self and text-to-world connections

2) Key/New vocabulary - Translations and Synonyms

3) Reading strategies: Articulation & Enunciation, Fluency, Decoding, and Comprehension

4) Genres: Persuasive Text and Procedural Text
