9. Hobbiton Hobbits can't swim, and the Old Forest's trees seem to be predatory. It seems that the Forest itself is alive!

10. In this case, Old Man Willow isn't nature that is good. His bad influence spreads all over the Forest, and it's bsically making nature unchecked. I think Tolkien does not have a different point of view in nature unchecked and nature under control. The Old Forest is unchecked thanks to Old Man Willow, and it will frighten people going in there. It's kind of like my idea of unchecked nature.
