1. In the large chest, there are clothes...and the slaves must dress in them.

2. The party is full of partying...and hitting. Cawthorne seems to be hitting everyone in his way. And the most bizzare part is that in the party, the people seem to TREAT the slaves nicely! What!

3. He thought the ship incoming was British. But noooooooo, the ship was Americaan. British can't board American ships. But I'm pretty sure American ships can board American ships. And plus, the American ship might know what all other American ships looked like, and if they saw the Moonlight, they might see it and not recognize it, thus knowing that the ship wasn't American.

4. On a beach with chickens.

5. Daniel was a slave but he escaped and lived in the forest.

6. Probably because Daniel had saved his life.

7. Daniel left him markers as he walked home.

8. She thinks it's devastating.

9. There is no slavery in Rhode Island.

10. I have never felt homesick.

1. Jessie says this because his friend was Purvis and the person who befriended him was Ben Stout.

2. If they are attacked or the slaves decided to strike, the crew would at least have something to defend themsleves.

3. The slaves have to dance to keep their bodies fit for profiting,

4. The slaves seem to become 'oofered' in the voyage because of a disease on the ship.

5. HE hated the way they did things.

6. He had disobeyed an order.

7. Captain Cawthorne 'oofered' Spark because Spark 'oofered' a slave using a gun. Whipping was allowed, but killing the slaves wasn't.

8. Jessie would feel agitated when he danced the slaves.

9. He suspects that Ben Stout stole it and put it with the slaves.

10. Jessie fears Stout because of his calmness, his way of not showing his emotions, the way he didn't care when he tortured the slaves. I don't know if his fears are justified.

1. Jessie says this because of how his life changed after he got on the ship.

2. Maybe so if they are attacked, they have weapons to fight back?

1. The person who said this quote was Jesse's mom. She had run out of candles and needed more to keep working in the night. So Jesse had to go to Aunt Agatha and borrow some.

2. Aunt Agatha said this quote when she noticed Jesse's pipe. He was at her house to get the candles for his mother so she could work.

3. Purvis was the one who said this. He told his crewmate, Claudius, to take Jesse's pipe away from him. I suspect he was the one that Jessie had played for.

4. I have delivered pizza at my old school a few times. Or course, after the errand, I get pizza as well.

5. Jessie feels miserable for being on a slaver. I think it's because of how depressing the ship can be, though personally I think the name of the ship is pretty impressive. He would also be scared because the people on the ship are kind of like pirates.

6. Curry is kind of like a cook and Purvis was a sailor, for he knew all about sails.

7. The British have different laws and they want the neighboring country to follow them in blocking slavery. However, if they try to invade, the laws in the neighboring country are different from the British country, so that gives the Moonlight the right to 'OOF' them.

8. The ship must be tend to at all times, even at night. Sailors are always busy unless they've just come off watch. Everyone on the ship has a job to do.

9. The odour comes from the deck and it never seems to come out. It is called 'the chloride of lime'.

10. Purvis made a joke by saying 'You're as deaf as a post'. I don't see how that is funny.

1. The ancestor rock is an ordinary rock, but it was picked when Edwin came to this island.

2. When Edwin and Garvey left the first time, Cole felt angry. He stuck out his middle finger when they left and later on, he burnt down the shelter Edwin built. When Edwin and Garvey left the second time, Cole only felt fear. He didn't stick out the middle finger, and he made the second chance count.

3. Cole used 2 hours to pull the log toward to fire. When he went to sleep, he was troubled by the thoughts of carving the log into a canoe for an escape.

4. Cole probably wants to see the Spirit Bear because he wants to learn something from it.

5. Cole realizes that the dance of anger was actually the dance of healing and forgiveness while he was dancing.

6. He doesn't really know what animal represents forgiveness.

7. Cole wanted to help Peter with his depression, so he comes up with a plan to get Peter to come on the island to heal. On the way, Cole thinks Peter might see that's he's changed.

8. I probably wouldn't come out of the skiff if I didn't have to if I were Peter.

9. He eats the Snicker bar and lets Cole sleep in the cabin with him later on.

10. Well, maybe because everything is circles and that everything in a circle is a beginning and an end and that a circle was the only thing that Peter could teach Cole to carve.

5. Cole's father was arrested and charged, but he denied all accusations and paid bail (money to get himself free) before the ink dried on the form.

6. The Circle Justice gave Cole a second chance because they needed to see if Cole was really over his anger. (Plus the fact that Garvey and Edwin convinced them to put Cole in their custody because they believed that he could change.)

7. Cole must build his own cabin, he's calmer, and Edwin gives Cole something to make him keep calm. Plus Cole's body still needs to heal.

8. Sitting in the pool of water helped people get over their anger, like Edwin.

9. Edwin curled his arms to make a whale's head. He went around the fire ducking and diving as if he were swimming in the ocean for ten minutes.

10. Edwin said that it was the hardest dance of all because he had to face your anger and release it. He said that Cole would do that dance by himself.

4. Cole's parents are divorced.

5. The feather symbolizes respect, so the person with the feather is the only speaker.

6. There are tides, cold water, and wind. Plus, he wasn't full of energy. Every time he pushes through the tide it pushes him back. It's literally useless to try and fight a tide that's stronger than you.

7. Cole glared at the Spirit Bear, picked up a rock, and told it to go away. It probably went away by choice.

8. Cole attacked the bear because he was angry. The bear will probably attack him.

10. Well, when he gets mauled by the Spirit Bear, Garvey and Edwin come to save his life.

3. Scythe Curie told her that so she would see Scythe Faraday, aka Gerald Van Der Gans.

4. Citra realizes that Scythe Faraday is alive at the end of chapter 32.

5. Faraday writes how he thinks that Curie might hurt him. Pretty smart move, but he probably shouldn't just assume things.

7. Esme will probably forget the whole Scythe thing, live a normal life, and eat lots of pizza.

8. They must render their relative deadish to achieve their 'inner scythe.'

9. Every scythe always shuns black. So Rowan kinda stands out. Black means a symbol of darkness to scythes I think.
